ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to call for the records relating to the criminal case in C.C. No.295 of 2013 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Sankarapuram and quash the same in terms of the compromise.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned counsel for the first respondent and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the second respondent State. On the complaint lodged by Parimala, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.3 of 2012 and after completing the investigation, has filed a final report in C.C. No.295 of 2013 for offences under Sections 498-A, 494, 323, 294(b) and 506(II) read with Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 1998, against the petitioners herein, challenging which, the petitioners are before this Court, on the ground that they have arrived at an amicable settlement with Parimala (defacto complainant).

Today, S. Parimala (defacto complainant) is present and identified by Ms. B. Vadivukkarasi, W.Gr.I, All Women Police Station, Tirukovilur, Villupuram District.

Today, S. Parimala (defacto complainant) has filed an affidavit stating that she has no objection in the proceedings being quashed in the light of the settlement arrived at with the accused party on 28.11.2015. A copy of the consent affidavit dated 28.11.2015 is enclosed at page no.22 of the typed set of papers. In view of the above, the entire prosecution in C.C.No.295 of 2013 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Sankarapuram, is quashed against all the accused and this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
