ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent not to vacate the petitioner from Survey No.262/2A, Kadalangui Village, Kuthalam Taluk, Mayiladuthrai District till the disposal of appeal pending before the first respondent.

2. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, submitted that four weeks' time may be granted to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner.

3. Recording the submission made by learned Special Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction

to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal dated 27.12.2021 preferred by the petitioner on merits in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till the disposal of the appeal, the respondent authorities are directed to maintain status quo. There will be no order as to costs.
