O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to dispose of the refund applications in Form-W filed under section 18(3) of the TNVAT Act 2006 in a time bound manner for the years 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15.

2.Mr.S.Kanmani Annamalai, learned Additional Government Pleader (Tax) taking notice for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's applications and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

3.Taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's applications in Form-W filed under Section 18(3) of the TNVAT Act and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
