ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking interference with the investigation in F.I.R in Crime No.220 of 2016, dated 01.09.2016, on the file of the first respondent/the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch Team-III, Vepery, Chennai.

2. The said First Information Report had been lodged pursuant to a complaint given by the second respondent, alleging offences punishable under Sections 408, 420, 465, 468, 471 r/w 34 of I.P.C and the First Information Report was registered on 01.09.2016.

3. It is also informed by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the first petitioner herein had been recently taken into custody by the first respondent, with respect to the First Information Report.

4. Let the investigation go on. Let me not enter into the discussion of the facts or even give any opinion on the nature of the offences alleged by the second respondent in the complaint. Let that, purely, be the privilege of the first respondent to record the statements of witnesses, to collect documents, to conduct investigation and thereafter, file a final report in accordance with the nature of documents collected and statements recorded. A direction is given to the first respondent to proceed further with the investigation.

5. With the above said observation, the present Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
