(Order of the Court was made by Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) Alleging that substandard tar road has been laid by the second respondent under the Chief Minister's Village Road Development Scheme 2023-2024 in Malaivaiyavoor-Thirupathi Thangal, within Echur Panchayat, Anakkavoor Panchayat Union, Thiruvannamalai District, under the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats Scheme, the petitioner sent a representation to the first respondent on 14.08.2023. As the said representation did not evoke any response, the petitioner filed this writ petition.

2. Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.A.Edwin Prabhakar, learned State Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent, placed on record the status report of the State Quality Monitor (Roads), dated 22.10.2023. It has been specifically observed that the quality of the road works executed so far is found to be at a satisfactory level. The learned counsel for the petitioner is not in a position to refute the same. Page 2/4

3. In view of the status report filed by the State Quality Monitor (Roads), dated 22.10.2023, nothing remains to be adjudicated in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
