ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Principal District Judge, Mahila Court, Thiruvannamalai to expedite the trial in S.C.No.179 of 2015 and to complete the trial within a period of six months.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the husband of the deceased; on the complaint given by the brother of the deceased that she was raped and murdered, a case has been registered in Crime No.57 of 2011; after investigation, charge sheet has also been filed; despite filing charge sheet, the case is pending before the learned Principal District Judge, Mahila Court, Tiruvannamalai in S.C. No.179 of 2015; the grievance of the petitioner is that in a case where the occurrence had been taken place in the year 2011, charge sheet has been filed in the year 2015. Even after a lapse of 10 years from the date of occurrence, the case has not attained any finality.

4. It is seen from the e-court adjudication that the matter is part heard and summons were issued to LW.27 to LW 34. Considering the seriousness of the allegation and the pendency of the case for more than a decade, I feel it is appropriate for the learned Sessions Judge, Magalir

Neethi Mandram, Tiruvannamalai to expedite the trial and complete the same in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
