Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to refer the petitioner's Application dated 08.10.2015 to the appropriate Court for determining the fair amount for compensation under Section 8(1) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purpose Act, 1997 (10/1999). Heard Mr.S.Rajmakesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader, accepting notice on behalf of respondents. With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for a direction to the respondents to refer his application dated 08.10.2015 to the appropriate Court for determining the fair amount for compensation under Section 8(1) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purpose Act, 1997 (10/1999). The said representation has been sent to all the respondents and a copy of the tracking information given by the Postal Department has been furnished to show that the said letters have been delivered in the Office of the respondents on 12.10.2015. However, till date, it appears no action has been taken on the petitioner's application.
3. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the contentions raised, there will be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation as an application under Section 8(1) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purpose Act, 1997 (10/1999) and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
