ORDER
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct both the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 24.02.2016.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she has residing in Sivagangai District for the past 35 years and has two sons and one daughter, all of whom are married. His daughter's marriage was solemnized at in a Kalyana Mandapam Periyakulam on 12.06.2015 as per the Hindu Rites and Customs. It is the further stated that the State Government has introduced a Scheme for assisting the marriage of a citizen in a family under "Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme", for which, the State Government is offering Rs.50,000/- with 4 Gms. of Thali to the bride's parents. The said Scheme has to be applied on-line by the bride's parents before marriage and it stipulated that the bride should be a graduate and the marriage should be the first marriage. It is further stated by the petitioner that she submitted her application on 10.06.2015 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
through on-line and got a receipt in acknowledgement for the same on payment of proper fees at Rs.100/- and also submitted a certificate from the local Village Administrative Officer (VAO) that the marriage is the first marriage and also from local Panchayat President. Inspite of frequent visits/enquiry in the Union Office at Thiruppathur, Sivagangai District, as the Union Office is under the control of the second respondent, there was no response. At last, she made a representation, dated 24.02.2016 to the first and second respondents, for which also, there was no reply. Hence, she has filed this Writ Petition for the above relief.
3. Heard both sides.

In view of the limited scope of the prayer made in the Writ Petition and also considering the above factual aspects of the matter, this Court directs the respondents to consider the said representation, dated 24.02.2016 of the petitioner, conduct enquiry, give an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other necessary parties and thereafter pass appropriate orders and dispose of the said representation, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner and it is for the respondents to decide the same.
5. With the above observations and directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
