ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition, challenging the order of the first respondent in connection with the order dated 3.3.2016 in his proceedings F.No.39.02/2015-Desk U and consequently, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 neither as to appoint the Vice Chancellor as per Statute 25(1) or Acting Vice Chancellor in accordance with Statute 1(a), 7 read with Statute 25(1) of the Pondicherry University Statute read with the order of the first respondent dated 11.2.2016.

2. On 28.6.2016, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner represented that he has given change of vakalat and he has also filed a memo to that effect. Therefore, this Court directed the registry to verify the same and to print the name of the petitioner or counsel, if any, entered memo of appearance for him and post the matter today.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration by printing the name of the petitioner in the cause list, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

4. Since connected matters in W.P.Nos.27160 of 2015 and 129 of 2016 for the very same relief were already dismissed by this Court, by order dated 3.6.2016, I am of the opinion, nothing survives in this writ petition and the prayer in this writ petition has become infructuous. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
