The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the 2nd https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
respondent's Lr.No.SE/GEDC/G/DFC/AS/ F.Harimadhava D.840/19 dated 31.08.2019 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to effect reconnection of the disconnected service connection HT SC 145.
2. Heard Mr.A.V.Arumugam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.K.Rameshwar, learned standing counsel, who takes notice for the respondents. Perused the affidavit.
3. For non-payment of consumption charges, the service connection of the petitioner was disconnected. When reconnection was sought for, the impugned order has been passed detailing out the reason for refusal of reconnection. This Court finds no illegality or infirmity in the order to interfere exceeding power under Article 226.
4. According to the respondents, there is due for nearly Rs.24 crores and the petitioner has not paid the consumption charges. Hence, service disconnected 5 years ago.
5. In the light of the above facts, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
