It is the dispute regarding the land. The petitioner herein wants police protection. This request cannot be accepted under Section 482 of Cr.P.C.

2. The civil dispute is still pending and the parties are fighting their title in the civil Court. That apart, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that the property belongs to HR & CE department and the Executive Officer of Varadharaja Perumal Devasthanam has given letter to the police regarding interference of the temple property by third parties.

3. In such circumstances, this Court is of the view the prayer to give police protection to fix the board claiming ownership is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 20.10.2023 Index : Yes/No rpl 2/4
