Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.10.2015 for constituting a committee to conduct an enquiry and to take appropriate legal action against the fourth and fifth respondents for having committed misappropriation of Government funds in accordance with law.

Heard Mr.S.Senthil Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Roofus Abraham, learned Government Advocate, accepting notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3. With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking for a direction upon the first respondent to consider his representation dated 15.10.2015, for constituting a committee to conduct an enquiry and take appropriate legal action against the fourth and fifth respondents for misappropriation of Government funds.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that certain illegalities have been committed by the respondents 4 and 5 in the matter of granting water connection to about 400 residence of the Village. In this regard, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents and since no action has been taken for more than four months, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for, without going into the allegations made by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.10.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the respondents 4 and 5 and securing necessary information in that regard. The above direction shall be complied with by the third respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
