O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to renew grant of licence for the petitioner to run Xerox Shop in the portion of the building belongs to the Public Works Department in the office of the Tahsildar, Thirukazhikundram.

2. The petitioner submitted a representation before the 3rd respondent dated 12.06.2024 seeking renewal of his licence beyond the period of 3 years by citing his physical infirmity. The 3rd respondent passed an order on 13.06.2024 informing the petitioner that for the purpose of renewal of licence without public auction, a Special Order has to be issued by the Government.

3. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation before the Head of the Department namely Commissioner of 2/5

Revenue Administration and Disaster Management seeking renewal of the licence, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If any such representation is submitted by the petitioner, the same shall be considered by the said Authority viz., Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a further period of eight weeks from the date of submission of representation.

4. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected writ miscellaneous petition is closed.

5. The Registry is directed to mark a copy of this order to the Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management, Ezhilagam, Chennai.
