ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2022, regarding the sanction of her husband's pensionary and other attendant benefits such as, Provident Fund (PF), Employees' Family 2/6
Pension (EFP), Gratuity, etc., in P.P.O.No.570633, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.
2.The petitioner's husband Velu, was initially, appointed as a Sweeper in the third respondent Club, on 01.12.1989. He later worked as an Assistant Cook and voluntarily retired from service on 31.12.2019. During his service, he nominated their elder daughter, Geetha as the nominee in the service register to receive all pensionary and retiral benefits. However, the petitioner's husband died on 07.04.2022, leaving the petitioner without any support. Subsequently, their daughter Geetha gave a No Objection Certificate (NOC) consenting to the sanction of the retirement benefits in favour of the petitioner. Despite the petitioner submitting a representation to the respondent authorities requesting the release of the pensionary and other attendant benefits, no action was taken. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition seeking the aforementioned relief.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's 3/6
husband was sanctioned pension by an order dated 06.10.2021, issued by the Assistant P.F. Commissioner (Pension), Chennai. Therefore, he prayed that a direction may be issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2022, in light of the said pension sanction order.

On considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2022 and pass orders, on merits, in accordance with law and in the light of the pension sanction order dated 06.10.2021 passed by the Assistant P.F. Commissioner (Pension), Chennai, sanctioning pension to the petitioner's husband, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
