Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records and quash the order passed by the 2nd respondent by letter dated 11.11.2020 and subsequently direct the respondents to delist the petitioner's name from the History sheet No.K2/E/1/2014 of the 3rd respondent Police Station which has been mechanically maintained.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to quash the order passed by the 2nd respondent by letter dated 11.11.2020 and subsequently direct the respondents to delist the petitioner's name from the History sheet No.K2/E/1/2014 of the 3rd respondent Police Station which has been mechanically maintained.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is considered to be a history sheet rowdy by the 3rd respondent Police despite he had given representation to remove him from the list. The said representation was rejected on 11.11.2020 by stating that the petitioner is not residing in the previous address. Now the petitioner has given one more representation by stating his current address.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner's request cannot be considered because he is involved in 35 cases.

4. In reply, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that out of 2/4

35 cases pending against the petitioner, he is acquitted in 33 cases and only two cases are pending against him.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that since the petitioner has changed the residence, the representation given by him now transferred to D3 Ice House Police Station, Chennai.

6. In view of the above, the Inspector of Police, D3 Ice House Police Station, Chennai is directed to consider the representation made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 21.11.2022 vum Index:yes/No Speaking order / Non speaking order R.N.MANJULA,J.
