This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 16.08.2024 wherein the petitioner has sought for transfer from Villupuram Medical College Hospital to either Tuticorin Government Medical College Hospital or Thoothukudi ESI Hospital.
2. The case of the petitioner is that she joined as a nurse in the year 2007 at the Government Primary Health Center, Tuticorin. Thereafter, she was transferred to the Villupuram Government Medical 2/6
College and Hospital and she has completed nearly 12 years of service in the same station. The petitioner was making repeated representations seeking for voluntary transfer to either Tuticorin Government Medical College Hospital or Thoothukudi ESI Hospital. However, the same was not considered in any of the transfer counselling that took place and the further grievance of the petitioner is that her juniors, who are not even having sufficient years of service are getting transfer to Thoothukudi District. The petitioner made a representation in this regard on 16.08.2024. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
3. Heard Ms.P.Anuradha, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.M.Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances and also the specific grievance expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner seeking for voluntary transfer to either Tuticorin Government Medical College Hospital or Thoothukudi ESI Hospital, in 3/6
the next transfer counselling subject to the petitioner fulfilling all the requirements.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
