ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed to summon the respondents for disobeying the order passed in WMP No.21538 of 2025 in W.P.No.19265 of 2025 dated 23.05.2025 and punish them in accordance with Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act and deal with them in accordance with law. 2.When the matter came up for hearing today, affidavit of the 1 st respondent was filed and the relevant portion is extracted hereunder:

I respectfully submit at the present stage, an alternate site is being for the purpose of relocating the Retail TASMAC Shop No.4071, wherein the Petitioner can continue to operate the Bar till the expiry of the current licence period. I respectfully submit that the said TASMAC Retail Shop has been temporarily closed due to continuous objections raised by the general public, and the same has not been reopened till date as the process of identifying an alternate site is still pending. In this regard, the closure of the TASMAC retail shop No.4071 allotted to the Petitioner is neither wilful nor wanton. Therefore, this Respondent does not have any iota of intention, at any point in time, to commit any act that would amount to an act in violation of orders passed by this Hon'ble Court and I also affirm to avoid any such lapses in the future and act only in accordance with the directions / orders passed by this Hon'ble Court.

3.In the light of the above stand taken, as and when the alternate site is identified and the shop is opened, the petitioner will be permitted to run the bar as per the license that was granted to the petitioner earlier.
