ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.,) This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to grant license to the petitioner to erect hoardings within the limit of the second respondent Corporation by considering the application made by the petitioner on 16.06.2023 within the period to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that though an application was made to the 2nd respondent seeking license for erecting hoardings, so far no orders was passed in his application by the 2nd respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent/ Kanchipuram Municipality, on instruction, would submit that the petitioner's application dated 16.06.2023 is Page 2/4

pending and it would be disposed of within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, we direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the application of the petitioner dated 16.06.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
