This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police to conduct further investigation in the F.I.R., in Crime 1/4

No.130 of 2024 and alter the F.I.R including all the offences committed by the accused.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner a case in Crime No.130 of 2024 was registered and already three persons were arrested and remanded to judicial custody and investigation is almost completed and charge sheet is yet to be filed.

3. No doubt, First Information Report is nothing but an information given by the informant. Once the complaint has been lodged, it is the duty of the police to register the case and complete the investigation and file the charge sheet in the manner known to law. In the case on hand, the petitioner has given the complaint and F.I.R in Crime No.130 of 2024 was registered and investigation is also almost completed. Now the petitioner come up with the present petition to alter the F.I.R. Pending investigation, the complainant has no authority to interfere with the investigation, only after filing of the charge sheet, if the police have not properly investigated the matter, then the petitioner can 2/4

file the petition in manner known to law. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
