ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation pending in Crime No.24 of 2016 on the file of the Inspector of Police, S.1. St. Thomas Mount Police Station, Chennai Police, Chennai to the State Crime Branch CID, Metro Wing, Chennai.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the investigation has now been transferred to the file of the Crime Branch CID, Metro Wing, Chennai from the file of the 3rd respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there has been absolutely no progress in the investigation for the last four years.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the Crime Branch CID, Metro Wing, Chennai to expedite the investigation and complete the same and file a final report within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
