Common Prayer:- Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to take speedy action to issue caste/community certificate to the children of the petitioners. For Petitioners :

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Special Government appearing for respondents.

3. Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners belong to ST community and they have given representations dated 17.03.2016 to second respondent, enclosing relevant documents, seeking issuance of Community Certificates to their children. Since no orders have been passed on the said representations, the present Writ Petitions are filed seeking the aforesaid relief.

4. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents submits that second respondent has passed an order dated 10.01.2020 rejecting the request of petitioners holding that petitioners do not belong to ST community. In the said order, it has also been mentioned that petitioners are at liberty to prefer an appeal before the District Collector.

5. This Court has perused the order passed by second respondent. In the aforestated circumstance, nothing survives for further adjudication in the present petitions. Accordingly, the Writ Petitions are dismissed. However, petitioners are at liberty to prefer an appeal before the District Collector challenging the order of second respondent dated 10.01.2020. No costs.
