This contempt petition has been filed praying to punish the respondents for the wilful disobedience of the order of this Court made in Crl.O.P.No.14909 of 2023 dated 05.07.2023.

2. Mr.A.Joseph Selvaraj, Inspector of Police, K4 Anna Nagar Police Station was present at the time of hearing.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the affidavit of the respondent was filed and the relevant portions are extracted hereunder:

" 7. I respectfully submit that after completion of elaborate and detailed investigation, the then Investigation Officer have closed the case as "Mistake of Fact" and served the R.C.S. Notice vide 20/2023, to the defacto complainant through registered post on 08.09.2025. Further, I have filed a Final Report before the Learned Vth Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore through e-filing vide LTN00023201104C202500199, dated 08.09.2025 and the same taken on file and Court R.C.S. number is assigned as RCS No.333 of 2025 and court RCS Notice served to petitioner on 10.09.2025 through register post with acknowledgment due. The petitioner also appeared before the Learned Vth Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore on 23.09.2025 and above case stands posted on 27.10.2025 for filing protest petition."

4. In view of the above, if the petitioner is aggrieved, it is left open to the petitioner to file a protest petition and proceed in accordance with law.
