O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner and petitioner's family at the time of worship the God Jesus, The Glory Cathedral Anglican Church of India situated at No.F-206 M.M.M.D colony Arumbakkam, Chennai-600 106 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 24.4.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner used to worship in the abovesaid Church. After the demise of the founder of the abovesaid church, the regular prayer and other activities have not

been conducted and when the petitioner questioned the same, the private respondent along with others abused and attacked the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner made a complaint before the third respondent police. Since no action has been taken by the official respondents, the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking police protection based on the representation of the petitioner dated 24.4.2024.

4. On a perusal of the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2024, it seen that the petitioner has not specifically stated about the particulars regarding date and time of worship and further, the relief sought by the petitioner is vague. Hence this Court cannot give a direction to the respondent police on the blanket representation of the petitioner.

5. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
