J U D G M E N T
(Judgment of the Court was delivered by V.M.VELUMANI,J.) The respondent/wife filed O.P.No.1481 of 2015 on the file of the VI Additional Family Court, Chennai for dissolution of marriage that took place between the respondent and appellant on 21.06.2012 at Hotel Sindhu International, Tiruchanoor, Tirupathy and duly registered in serial No.349 of 2013 under the Hindu Marriage Act with the Marriage Registrar Office, Purasawalkam, on the ground of cruelty. The respondent/wife has also filed I.A.No.2051 of 2015 for permanent alimony. By Common order dated 27.06.2019, the said I.A.No.2051 of 2015 was partly allowed directing the appellant/husband to pay a sum of Rs.25,00,000/- towards permanent alimony and also directed to deduct a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- from the said amount towards jewels belonging to the petitioner/husband and retained by the respondent/wife. Challenging the same, the appellant/husband has come out with the present appeal.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the appellant and respondent submitted that the parties have 2/5
settled the matter and filed a Joint Memo of Compromise, duly signed by both the appellant as well as respondent and their respective counsel and prayed for disposal of appeal in terms of joint memo of compromise. The learned counsel for the appellant and the respondent identified the signature of the appellant and the respondent in the Joint Memo of Compromise. 3.The Joint Memo of Compromise dated 03.08.2022, duly signed by both the appellant as well as respondent and their respective counsel is taken on file and the same is recorded.
4. Recording the Joint Memo of Compromise and the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the appellant as well as the respondent, this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of.
