The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Section 123 of BNS, 2023 (328 IPC) read with Dr.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.

Crl.O.P.No.22884 of 2025 rpl 24(1) of Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Acts, 2003, in Crime No.660 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

According to the prosecution, a seizure of 363 kgs of banned tobacco products worth Rs.3.52 lakhs was made from the residence of the petitioner, who is presently absconding. The respondent police suspects that he is the prime supplier of the banned tobacco products and his custody is required for investigation to trace the source of supply.

Considering the nature of the crime, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
