Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code to direct the 3rd respondent, Inspector of Police, Otteri Police Station situated at Manivakkam Kanchipuram District to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner and his property measuring 1.34 acres situated in S.No.21/1, Kolapakkam Village, Chenglepet Taluk, Kanchipuram District by considering petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2019.

2. Criminal Original Petition No.32232 of 2019 has been filed seeking the relief to direct the third respondent to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner's life and limb and also to his property on the basis of his representation, dated 20.11.2019.
3. Since, the petitioner and his representations dated 26.09.2019 and 20.11.2019 given to respondent are one and the same, both these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of, by way of a common order.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
5. Today, when these petitions are taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police, on instructions, would submit that in respect of the representations dated 26.09.2019 and 20.11.2019 pertains to the above referred original petitions have not been received by the concerned respondent / Otteri Police Station and therefore, they are not in a position to consider the aforesaid representations, as requested by the petitioner. However, he would further submit that if the 3/6
petitioner is ready to submit a fresh representation, the concerned respondent / Inspector of Police, Otteri Police Station, Kanchipuram District, is ready to consider the same in accordance with law.

In view of the above submission, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the Inspector of Police, Otteri, Manivakkam, Kanchipuram District, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such receipt, the respondent / Inspector of Police, Otteri, Manivakkam, Kanchipuram District is directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of the aforesaid representations.
7. With these above directions, these Criminal Original Petition are disposed of.
