In a proposed suit for damages and other reliefs, the intending plaintiff seeks leave to sue the respondent/defendant before this Court. 2.Learned Counsel appearing for the applicant would submit that the substantial portion of the cause of action for the suit arose within the jurisdiction of this Court.

3.Despite notice being served on the respondent, he has neither chosen to appear in person nor through counsel before this Court. 4.Upon considering the above submissions and examining the draft plaint and the affidavit filed in support of this Application, the cause of action for this suit has arisen at least partly within the jurisdiction of this Court. Consequently, A.No.5776 of 2023 is allowed by granting leave to the applicant to sue the respondent/defendant before this Court. As a corollary, the Registry is directed to number the suit, if it is otherwise in order.
