PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, seeking direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner appeal dated 31.03.2023 and the same being received by the first respondent and to dispose of the petitioner appeal in accordance with law in respect of issuance of a patta in the petitioner name for the extent of 0 Acre and 12.5 cents comprised in Old Survey No.33/3 part 197/4 in Ulundurpettai Taluk, Madura kattuchellur village.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 31.03.2023 and to dispose of same in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 31.03.2023 in accordance with law, after giving notice to the petitioner, private respondents 4 to 7 and interested parties/rival claimants if any, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
