ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 20 to act immediately and secure and safeguard the properties of 21st respondent temple by considering petitioner representation dated 17.10.2023 and complaint dated 12.12.2023.

2. The case of the petitioner is that, he is an ardent devotee to the 21st respondent temple, namely Arulmigu Varadharaja Perumal Thirukoil and the said temple is having various properties covered under patta No.1 situated at Pottaneri Revenue Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District. In the said properties, there are certain irregularities committed and caused damages to the said properties and even though the said temple is under Page No.4 of 10

the control of the 8th respondent department, they have not taken any steps to rectify the said irregularities. Immediately, after having knowledge of the said irregularities, the petitioner had brought the same to the respondents by way of representation dated 17.10.2023 and complaint dated 12.12.2023. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition before this court.

Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, the petitioner (Party-in-Person) submits that, it would suffice, if this court, issues a direction to the respondents 1 to 20 to act immediately and secure and safeguard the properties of 21st respondent temple by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2023 and complaint dated 12.12.2023, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this court.

4. Learned respective counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2023 and complaint dated 12.12.2023 will be considered on merits and in accordance with law and appropriate orders will be passed, as expeditiously as possible.

5. Considering the limited request made by the petitioner (Party-inPerson), this court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 to 20 to secure and safeguard the properties owned by the 21st respondent temple by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2023 and complaint dated 12.12.2023, within a period of twelve

(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
