When the matter came up for hearing today, the petitioner as well as the second respondent/defacto complainant are personally present before this Court and identified themselves. They also produced their identity proofs before this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the second respondent and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that pending proceedings in C.C.No.5474 of 2019 pending trial before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, the second respondent/de-facto complainant and the petitioner have amicably settled the issue among themselves and the de-facto complainant has also filed a Compromise Memo dated 09.10.2019 stating that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

he has no objection if the proceedings in C.C.No.5474 of 2019 pending trial before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, is quashed.

4.Recording the statements made by the defacto complainant in the compromise memo filed by him dated 09.10.2019, the entire proceedings in C.C.No.5474 of 2019 pending trial before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, is quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
