Petition is filed to condone the delay of 160 days in filing the above writ appeal against the order dated 02.03.2022 made in W.P.No.33857 of 2023.

2. It is seen that sufficient reasons have not been stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition to condone the delay of 160 days in filing the appeal.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent also pointed out that in the affidavit, the petitioners have stated only administrating reason for the delay in filing the appeal.

4. The petitioners have not furnished details in the affidavit to condone the delay in filing the appeal. However, considering the fact that there is only short delay in filing the appeal, we are of the view that costs

shall be imposed on the petitioners for not furnishing the details in the affidavit to condone the delay in filing the appeal.

5. In view of the above, the delay is condoned on condition that the Principal Secretary to Government, Home Department/first petitioner shall pay cost of Rs.3,000/- to the State Legal Services Authority, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which, this petition will automatically stand dismissed, without any reference to this Court.

6. Upon production of receipt for payment of costs, this civil miscellaneous petition stands ordered.
