The complaint of cheating offering job received by the police and on enquiry, the petitioner was summoned to appear on 12.09.2024. Instead of appearing, the present petition is filed seeking direction to the police not to harass.

2. According to the petitioner, it is a purely a civil dispute under the transaction between the complainant and the petitioner is transparent and reflected in the bank account and this petitioner is no way connected with the alleged cheating.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police on instructions submits that one Kumaresan has given a complaint to the Superintendent of Police disclosing cognizance offence of cheating. Hence, the appearance of the petitioner is required for an enquiry. Summon was issued to him for his appearance on 12.09.2024 and produce the documents listed in the summon. The petitioner failed to turn up and participated in the enquiry.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as devoid of merits. The petitioner is suppose to appear before the respondent police and participate in the enquiry and produce the documents sought for, to enable the police to decide upon the complaint given by Kumaresan, S/o Ramasamy. 01.10.2024 Vv To 2/4
