ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent police to register the complaint dated 13.12.2021 and to file FIR and investigate the same.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner herein, alleging cruelty and dowry demand, has lodged a complaint against her husband and in-laws before the 3rd respondent on 13.12.2021 and the same was taken on file in CSR.No.225 of 2021, but till date, the same was registered. Thus, she came forward with the present petition. 3.The learned Govt. Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents submitted that based on the petitioner's complaint dated 13.12.2021, the 3rd respondent police called for a report from the Social Welfare Officer with regard to the allegations of dowry demand and cruelty and accordingly, the Social Welfare Officer concerned gave his report stating that there was no demand of dowry and the allegations made in the complaint are false, hence based on the report of the Social Welfare Officer, the complaint of the

petitioner has been closed.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Govt. Advocate (crl.side) this Criminal Original Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the closure report in the manner known to law. 16.11.2022 msr Index;yes/no Internet:yes/no To
