ORDER

The petitioners have come forward with the above Writ Petitions praying for issuance of Writs of Mandamus to forbear the respondents from collecting increased rate of Timber Tax of Rs.50/- from Rs.5/- per CBM/Ton for Timber Log Goods of the petitioners-Companies from Chennai Harbour to Godown of the petitioners' Trading Companies situated at Madhavaram. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. It is represented by the learned counsel for the respondents that the issue involved in these Writ Petitions is covered by the decisions of this Court in W.P.No.27535 of 2003, dated 18.06.2012 and W.P.No.13767 of 2004, dated 14.07.2017 and the Writ Petitions have got to be dismissed.

3. In view of the above decisions of this Court, and as there is no representation for the petitioners, the present Writ Petitions are dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected W.P.M.Ps. are closed.
