The petitioners herein were arrested on 01.08.2025 for indulging in extortion of Rs.500/- in broad daylight.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that though the money was not recovered, the knife used in the crime was recovered. He further submitted that the 1st petitioner is involved in 15 previous cases, whereas the 2nd petitioner is an accused in a murder case.

Considering the antecedents of these petitioners, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to them. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
