Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to implement the order dated 16.04.2024 passed by the first respondent in CP.No.1216/SCIC/2021.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the second respondent to implement the order passed by the first respondent dated 16.04.2024.

The petitioner submitted application under Section 6(1) of Right to Information Act before the second respondent seeking information. However, the petitioner was not furnished with information. Therefore, the petitioner filed appeal before the appellate authority. While pending the appeal, the petitioner was informed that the application submitted by the petitioner was forwarded to the office of the Tamilnadu Public Service Commission. Even then, the petitioner was not served with any information. Therefore, the petitioner submitted application before the first respondent under Section 18(1) of the Right to Information Act seeking direction to impose penalty as against the second respondent. After enquiry, the first respondent imposed penalty of Rs.10,000/- payable by the second respondent to the petitioner. So far, the 2/4

second respondent did not comply with the same. The second respondent also did not challenge the order passed by the first respondent dated 16.04.2024.

In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to implement the order passed by the first respondent dated 16.04.2024 in CP.No.1216/SCIC/2021 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
