O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2022 seeking for compassionate appointment in his favour on account of the death of his father P.Murugan while in service on 11.03.2020.

2. Mr.S.Yashwanth, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal in the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner is the son of the deceased P.Murugan who was working as waterman in the Government Higher Secondary School, Kollankinar. According to the petitioner, P.Murugan, his father died on 11.03.2020 while in service. The petitioner seeks from compassionate appointment on account of the death of his father while in service. petitioner has given a representation on 10.10.2022 seeking for compassionate appointment in his favour. Since the representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

4. Heard Mrs.Esairani Narasimman, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Yashwanth, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

The petitioner has filed documents along with this writ petition to support his claim that he is entitled for compassionate appointment on account of the death of his father P.Murugan on 11.03.2020 while in service. It is for the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation seeking for compassionate appointment on merits and in accordance with law.

6. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2022 seeking for compassionate appointment is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2022 seeking for compassionate appointment in his favour on account of the death of his father P.Murugan who died on 11.03.2020 while in service, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
