Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to permit both online registration as well as manual registration leaving the option to the public to choose the mode of registration, either online or manual, till the State becomes an E-State.

ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.D.Vaidhya Shankar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents need to be directed to permit online as well as manual registration leaving the option to the public to choose the mode of registration, either online or manual till the State becomes an EState.
3. The writ petition is filed four years back. The said prayer may be legitimate at the time of filing the writ petition. Moreover, no
interim order was passed by the Court. Now, the registration is compulsorily online. The said process is in vogue for more than 4 to 5 years.
In light of that, now no further orders would be necessary in the writ petition. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
