The Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent Police to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2024 and initiate suitable proceedings against the third respondent in accordance with law.

The contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is that, after the demise of the petitioner's husband, the third respondent and his family failed to return the petitioner's jewels and the property share belonging to the petitioner's husband. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation to the second respondent. Since no action was taken, the present petition has been filed.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and the second respondents submitted that the CSR registered on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner has been closed. 4.

The very representation of the petitioner itself indicates that the petitioner seeks to establish her civil rights through the respondent Police, which cannot be permitted.

Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioner to work out her remedy in accordance with law. No costs.
