The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 257, 123 and 62 of BNS r/w 6(b), 24(1) of COTPA Act, in Crime No.294 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. This petition is for anticipatory bail. The respondent police has registered the case in Crime No.294 of 2025 for the offences under Sections 257, 123 and 62 of BNS r/w 6(b), 24(1) of COTPA Act. The petitioner and his mother are accused in this case. The mother was arrested and released on bail. The petitioner is absconding and he is alleged to be the person who procured tobacco products and kept them in his mother's shop for sale.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that the petitioner has got three previous cases against him.

4. Considering the antecedents of the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
