The petitioners herein were granted anticipatory bail on 23.07.2025 for the alleged offences under Sections 296(b), 119(i), 351(3) of BNS Act r/w 4 of TNPHW Act in connection with Cr.No.213 of 2025. The present petition is filed to amend one of the provisions of Act, for which, the petitioner apprehends arrest.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners states that on perusing the FIR, the petitioners have realized that they have been implicated in Cr.No.213 of 2025 for the offence under Sections 296(b), 119(i), 351(3) of BNS Act r/w 4 of TNPHW Act. However, while seeking anticipatory bail, instead of Section 118(1) of BNS Act, he had mentioned as 119(i) of BNS Act. Hence, the petitioner seeks amendment.

3. Considering the representation made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusal of the FIR, the Section 118(1) of BNS Act is substituted in the place of 119(i) of BNS Act in the anticipatory bail petition.
