O R D E R

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 13.07.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B), 29(1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.588 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with the co-accused were involved in illegal possession of 2.100 kilograms of Ganja for the purpose of sale. Hence, the present complaint.

3. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that the petitioner herein arrayed as A2 in Crime No.588 of 2025 and the respondent police had seized 2.100 kilograms of ganja from the co-accused, which is meant for selling in retail. He further submitted that the investigation disclosed that the petitioner herein acted as an intermediate supplier of the contraband and the petitioner is having 12 2/4

previous cases, out of which one case under NDPS. He further submitted that the investigation in this matter is yet to be completed, hence the release of the petitioner will lead to recurrence of crime.

5. Recording the objections made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed. 22.08.2025 stn Note :
