This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records in Crime No.235 of 2020 pending on the file of V.Kalathur Police Station, 1/4

Perambalur District and quash the FIR registered by the first respondent in Crime No.235 of 2020 on 03.05.2020 on the complaint made by the second respondent.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is a student and he is falsely implicated in a case registered under Sections 147, 294 (b), 341, 353, 269, 270, 271 & 506 (i) I.P.C. in Crime No.235 of 2020 of V.Kalathur Police Station, Perambalur District. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) opposed this petition on the ground that investigation in this case is nearing completion. 4.The reading of the First Information Report shows that the defacto complainant was involved in quarantining patients in Government Adidravidar School, Pasumbalur Village, the accused in this case have instigated the general public and gathered more than 700 public to prevent the efforts made by the defacto complainant during the quarantine. Not only that, accused in this case have criminally intimidated her and threatened to burn her jeep and scolded in a filthy language. As already stated, this case registered for offences under 2/4

Section 147, 294 (b), 341, 353, 269, 270, 271 & 506 (i) I.P.C. Petitioner along with other accused said to have prevented the defacto complainant in performing her official duty and also wrongfully restrained her and assaulted her with an intention to outrage her modesty. 5.Considering the nature and seriousness of the offence, this Court is not inclined to quash the proceedings. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
