This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 29.09.2022.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the complaint given by the petitioner on 29.09.2022 by alleging that some named accused abused him in filthy language. He further submitted that the petitioner has bedridden and he is not able to go to the police station to follow up about the complaint given by him.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, current paper enquiry has been initiated in C.S.R.No.729 of 2022 and which has been closed on 18.11.2022 as 'mistake of fact'. 2/4

However, it is obligatory on the part of the respondent police to give closure report to the petitioner at his residence. If the petitioner is not satisfied with the report, he is at liberty to initiate proceedings by invoking either Section 156(3) or 200 Cr.P.C. before the appropriate forum, if he is so advised.

With these observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
