The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 318(4) of BNS, 2023, in FIR No. [not known], on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submits that one Murugan had given petition to the District Collector during the grievance redressal day and the same was forwarded to the respondent police for enquiry. It is further submitted that, if the petitioner participates in the enquiry, appropriate decision will be taken.

3. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. The petitioner shall appear before the respondent police for enquiry on receipt of summons. If such cooperation is extended by the petitioner for the enquiry, no coercive action shall be taken against him. The enquiry on the Collector's petition shall be disposed of, preferably within 15 days from today. 21.08.2025 bsm 2/4
