The petitioner was arrested on 12.07.2025 for the offence under Sections 8 (c) r/w 20 (b) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act, 1985 in Cr.No.109 of 2025. 2.The case of the prosecution is that about 13.390 kgs of Ganja was recovered from two persons while transporting from Andhra Pradesh to Tamil 1/4

Nadu through Tiruttani Ponpadi Checkpost. From their information, this petitioner was arrested, being the financier for the illicit transport of Ganja from Andhra Pradesh. Hence, the case.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that the petitioner has been in judicial custody from 12.07.2025. Hence, prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent Police states that the investigation is still pending. If the petitioner is released on bail, there is every possibility of his abscondence. Hence, opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5.Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6.Considering the said fact and the quantity of contraband seized, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
