ORDER
Mr.M.Shajakhan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. With the consent of both the learned counsels, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.07.2025, and to grant petitioner permission to set up petty shop small scale tea and snake shop /
bunk shop at newly constructed flyover at Pattabiram State Highway No. 716 according to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. 3.The case of the petitioner is that he belongs to economically weaker section and is currently unemployed. The petitioner states that due to his disability, the petitioner was not able to get employment. Therefore, the petitioner, to be self reliant, submitted a representation on 25.07.2025, to the respondents to grant him permission to set up petty shop small scale tea and snake shop / bunk shop at newly constructed flyover at Pattabiram State Highway No. 716. As the petitioner's representation was not considered, the petitioner has filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief. 4.Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. 5.
In view of the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the limited prayer in the writ petition, a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 25.07.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
