.. Respondents Though this case is not listed today, this case came up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Mr.Alagunarayanan learned counsel for the Petitioner is present and Mr.K.V.Ananthakrushnan learned counsel appearing for the second Respondent is present. Both parties are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Challenging the Award dated 17.11.2016 passed in I.D.No.335 of 2014 by the I Additional Labour Court, Chennai, the present Writ petition has been filed.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing , both the parties have agreed for an amicable settlement. As per the settlement, the Management has agreed to pay a sum of Rs.2,40,000/- (Rupees two lakhs forty thousand only) as full quit towards the entire claim of the Workman. It is agreed by the Workman that out of the said settled sum of Rs.2,40,000/-, a sum of Rs.5,000/- shall be directly paid to Sri Balagurukulam Primary School, No.4, Thirumangalam Road, Villivakkam, Chennai - 49 as donation by the Management.

3. In view of the above settlement, the Management shall pay a sum of Rs.2,35,000/- (Rupees two lakhs thirty five thousand only) as full quit to the Workman by way of Demand Draft, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the balance amount of Rs.5,000/- shall be directly paid by the Management to Sri Balagurukulam Primary School, No.4, Thirumangalam Road, Villivakkam, Chennai - 49 by way of Demand Draft towards Charity.

4. Since the matter is compromised today between the parties, this Award shall be produced before the Labour Court so as to enable them to close C.P.No.46 of 2019. 2/4

5. This National Lok Adalat Award is passed in terms of the above settlement. Accordingly, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is also closed.
