Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.10.2019 and 02.11.2022 and issue patta to the petitioners and their respective occupation of lands to an extent of 1.76.5 Hectares of unassessed agricultural land in Survey No.19/2, situated at Kaveriyampoondi Village, Tiruvannamalai District within the time stipulated by this hon'ble Court till such time the petitioners possession is not to be disturbed and further directing the respondents not to issue house site pata in favour of other members who is not in possession and pass orders.

O R D E R

By the consent of both the parties this writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.This writ petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.10.2019 and 02.11.2022 and issue patta to the petitioners and their respective occupation of

lands to an extent of 1.76.5 Hectares of unassessed agricultural land in Survey No.19/2, situated at Kaveriyampoondi Village, Tiruvannamalai District.

3. The case of the petitioners are that they inherited the subject property from their ancestors, Whileso the respondents surveyed the subject property and informed that they are trying to convert the agricultural lands for forming housing sites, which affects the agricultural work of the petitioners. Hence the petitioners gave a representation to the first respondent and the same was forwarded to the fourth respondent with a direction to take action. However the same was not considered till date. Hence this petition.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that it would be suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 14.10.2019 and 02.11.2022, within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

6. In view of the above, this Court directs directs the fourth respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 14.10.2019 and 02.11.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording an opportunity to the petitioner as well as the counter parties, if any.
