ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2025.

2. Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner's mother had purchased the subject property by virtue 2/6

of two registered sale deed dated 01.12.1972 & 12.02.1974. After demise of her mother, the petitioner and his brother were in joint possession and enjoyment of the property and a joint patta was issued in their name. Under these circumstances, the petitioner filed a representation dated 02.06.2025 before the respondents to survey the land and issue separate patta. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this writ petition.

5. In reply, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would request this Court to pass appropriate orders directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner.

6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

7. In the case on hand, initially, the subject property was purchased by the petitioner's mother by virtue of 2 registered sale deed dated 01.12.1972 & 12.02.1974. After the demise of his mother, a joint patta was issued in the name of the petitioner and his brother and they are in joint possession and enjoyment of the subject property. Thereafter, a representation dated 02.06.2025 has been made by the petitioner requesting the respondents to survey the subject property and issue separate patta. However, the said representation was not considered by the respondents till date.

8. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2025 within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

9. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
